    About this paper

    Bar graph paper

Bar graph paper starts at zero in the bottom-left corner. The vertical axis is numbered one per grid square and the horizontal axis is left unnumbered, so students can write in categories like favorite fruits, months or test groups and draw one bar per label.

Bold lines every 5 squares make tall bars quick to count. Turn off the numbers if you want students to choose their own scale, such as 2 or 10 per square.

    Frequently asked questions

How is bar graph paper different from a coordinate plane?

A coordinate plane has four quadrants and numbers on both axes. Bar graph paper shows only the first quadrant and leaves the x-axis free for category names.

How do I make sure the grid prints at the right size?

In the print dialog choose “Actual size”, “100%” or “No scaling”, and turn off “Fit to page” or “Shrink to fit”. To confirm, print our free calibration test sheet and measure the 10 cm line with a ruler.

Is it free for commercial use?

Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no download limit. You can use the paper for classes, worksheets, products and client work.
