    About this paper

    Music staff paper

Each staff has five lines. The spacing sets the distance between lines: about 2 mm gives a standard printed size of 8 mm per staff, while 2.5–3 mm is easier for beginners and young students.

The page fills itself with as many staves as fit evenly.

    Frequently asked questions

    How many staves per page?

At 2 mm spacing on A4 you get about 12 staves. Increase the spacing for fewer, larger staves.

How do I make sure the grid prints at the right size?

In the print dialog choose “Actual size”, “100%” or “No scaling”, and turn off “Fit to page” or “Shrink to fit”. To confirm, print our free calibration test sheet and measure the 10 cm line with a ruler.

Is it free for commercial use?

Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no download limit. You can use the paper for classes, worksheets, products and client work.
