    About this paper

    Handwriting practice paper

Handwriting paper guides letter height. Tall letters touch the top line, small letters stop at the dashed midline, and descenders like g and y drop below the baseline into the gap.

Use 20–25 mm rows for kindergarten, about 15 mm for first and second grade, and 10–12 mm for older students.

    Frequently asked questions

What line height is best for kindergarten?

Start with around 20–25 mm (about 1 inch) per row and reduce it as letters get more controlled.

How do I make sure the grid prints at the right size?

In the print dialog choose “Actual size”, “100%” or “No scaling”, and turn off “Fit to page” or “Shrink to fit”. To confirm, print our free calibration test sheet and measure the 10 cm line with a ruler.

Is it free for commercial use?

Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no download limit. You can use the paper for classes, worksheets, products and client work.
